Our Farm

Rooted in the Past. Growing Toward Something New.

Capra Cluck Collective isn’t the beginning of this farm’s story. It’s the next chapter in one that stretches back to the late 1800s.

For generations, our family has lived, ranched, worked, and grown up on this land near Polson, Montana. This was the original family homestead, shaped by livestock, agriculture, hard work, and generations of family life.

As the years passed, the homestead changed. Agriculture changed. And eventually, much of the land was no longer being actively farmed.

Now, we’re bringing it back to life.

But we’re not trying to make the farm exactly what it once was.

We’re making it what we’ve dreamed it could be.

A place where goats and sheep can do meaningful work managing land. Where fields can fill with flowers. Where chickens scratch, bees forage, pumpkins sprawl, and each season brings something new to grow, raise, make, or learn.

Some of what we’re building would be familiar to the generations who came before us. Some of it probably wouldn’t be.

That’s part of the story.

Capra Cluck Collective is our way of honoring this land’s agricultural roots while creating a farm that belongs to the present and has room to grow into the future. We’re building it season by season, learning what works, following good ideas when they appear, and finding new ways to make this old homestead productive again.

More than a century of family history brought us here.

What comes next is ours to grow.
